    Honda have made their intentions clear for TT 2005 by returning with a full works team under the Team DMRR/Honda banner. The riders for the team; which will contest the NW200, TT and Ulster Grand Prix; are 6 times TT winner Ian lougher and Richard Britton, whose best finish was second.     A strong contingent of 2005 SBK and Supersport Championship contenders, attending an unofficial test at Valencia on 13 and 14 December, found their plans to test their new machines somewhat hampered by the cold and generally wet weather conditions. After a first day blighted by early rains, and the wet track taking time to dry, many of the teams' hopes were pinned on better weather on day two. Another day of early wet conditions, and a track that held water all day in the single digit temperatures, meant that most teams finished their sessions early, looking to early season tests in 2005 to complete their planned improvements.     Despite wet weather and cold ambient air temperatures, Yamaha Motor Italia's world superbike team and the Yamaha Motor Germany's world supersport squad tested in Valencia on 13th and 14th December. The test proved a good opportunity to try out both development and race kit parts on the 2005 YZF-R1 and YZF-R6. Even allowing for the far from perfect conditions the teams proved to be satisfied with the performance of their latest spec machinery, which will be tested in a more complete fashion at Phillip Island in late January.     Motogp Television audiences around the globe for the MotoGP World Championship continued to grow in 2004, one of the most exciting seasons in the 55-year history of the series. In total, some 5,226 million viewers tuned in to the sixteen rounds of the championship as Valentino Rossi won the title in his first season with Yamaha, a staggering 121 million more than those who saw him win for Honda the previous year. MotoGP coverage was provided in every corner of the world, with the average number viewers per Grand Prix boosted to 327 million in 208 countries, an increase of 2.5% on 2003. Read more.....
