Wilkinson Classic Motorcycles

Produced at Acton by the Wilkinson Sword Company, the Wilkinson had a short history spanning just seven years from 1909. The original Wilkinson design accomodated a Maxim machine gun mounted in a sidecar, but when this failed to impress the War Office, the machine was converted into a long wheelbase motorcycle for civilian use. The model was introduced with a steering wheel but this was soon replaced by handlebars.
