Q. How did you come to sign for Honda Racing in the British Superbike Championship?
A. Honda Racing gave me a chance to join the British Superbike Championship because I lost the ride for MotoGP this year.
Q. What are your expectations of the Honda Racing CBR1000RR?
A. I have already tested the CBR1000RR. It is a very good machine, which I have high expectations for. I hope that the motorcycle will give me a victory this year.
Q. How do you feel about riding in the British Superbike Championship?
A. I'm very glad to have the chance to ride in the British Superbike Championship. I would like to learn a lot from riding with the other fast riders who are competing in the championship.
Q. What are your realistic objectives for your first season in British Superbikes?
A. My realistic objective is a victory.
Q. How much do you know about your Honda Racing team-mate Michael Rutter?
A. I don't know much about him yet, but I hope that we will become friends and I will be able to learn about competing in the races and other aspects of the British championship from him.
Q. What do you know about your other main rivals for the British Superbike title?
A. I don't know much about them either, but I know they are very fast.
Q. What is your experience of the circuits on the British Superbike Championship calendar?
A. I have taken part in a MotoGP race at the Donington circuit but I don't have experience of any of the other circuits yet.
Q. What is your ultimate ambition and how do you think that Honda Racing can help you to realise it?
A. My ultimate ambition is to become the fastest rider in the world and any help that Honda Racing and my sponsors can give me with my riding will be gratefully appreciated.
Q. Will you be living in Britain during the season and what is your opinion of the country so far?
A. Yes, I will be living in Britain during the season. My opinion of the country is that it has gorgeous castles and it was very cold in December.
Q. What will Honda Racing be doing to help you settle into your new environment?
A. Honda Racing will help me settle into my environment by being there for me if I have any problems or questions.
Q. What will you miss most about Japan?
A. My friends.
