Hood Jeans Introduction - Hood Jeans are a small family run British company, specializing in quality denim Motorcycle jeans and jackets. For many years they have been known for the quality of their para-aramid lined motorcycle jeans, during this time they have been considered by many as the best on the market. They also manage to consistently beat competitor’s price. They are also one of the few companies still manufacturing jeans in Britain. They achieve this by only selling products directly to customers, thus cutting out the middle men. Unfortunately, their jeans are not available in shops but if they were the cost would have to be circa £130.00.
Jeans are constructed to the highest standards using the best fabrics and highest grade para-aramid protection available. Weight for weight para-aramid is five times stronger than steel.
Hood produces two types of motorcycle jeans, one is lined with a woven para-aramid and the other reinforced with panels of a knitted para-aramid. With the feel of an Army Green added with the strength of woven Para-Aramid this old favourite is always a popular choice. The Para-Aramid gives protection against abrasion whilst optional Planet Knox hip and knee armour can also be fitted. The Army Green has two pleated back pockets and one pleated side pocket, all are sealed with Velcro. They also have two large, slanted front pockets.
Since 2007 the Camo has also been added to the original range. Made in jungle camouflage the Camo has all the same specifications as the Army Green, it does however also boast an anti-night vision coating.
Excellent fitting, unlike some other kevlar motorcycle trouser manufacturers, we ordered a 32 long and fitting was perfect. Multiple large pockets and Knox armour also included. Surprisingly, these trousers feel quite light and can easily be worn on and off the bike, as a pair of leisure trousers.
