Italian motorcycle clothing manufacturer Prexport has introduced a striking white version of their best selling Sonic sports boot, producing the perfect partner to the latest Arctic colour schemes on machines like Honda's CBR1000RR Fireblade, Suzuki's GSX-R600 and Yamaha's R1.
Far from simply looking the part the Sonic features a durable Micro-fibre upper, a fully waterproof and breathable Prexportex membrane and perforated Micro-fibre zone, ensuring maximum rider comfort whatever the weather conditions.
Padded, flexible panels at the front and rear of the boot and stretch material on the collar offer maximum flexibility on and off the bike, and a zipper and Velcro fastening system assures a perfect fit both over and under motorcycle trousers, eliminating any potential pressure points. The Sonic also features a Polyurethane pad at the gear shifter zone to alleviate discomfort caused by continuous gear changing.
As well as rider comfort, Prexport place safety as paramount in their boot design; polyurethane reinforcing shields are fitted at the shin, ankle, heel and calf. The Prexport pro-race rubber sole offers maximum grip on the pegs and the Texon insole is fitted with steel shank strengthening. Completing the package are adjustable toe sliders which, along with the ankle protectors, are easily replaceable.
These boots are very comfortable from the first time you wear them, the flexible material is very giving, reasonably priced and the pair we tested (in white) are very stylish. White appears to be the new 'in' colour for 2009, with Alpinestars also releasing a range of new gear in white, these are a very affordable and stylish alternative. Extra-grippy soles for changing gear and braking.
Prexport Sonic boots are also available in Black, in sizes 38-47 (UK 5-13).
