Joey Dunlop – The TT Wins is the most comprehensive collection of archive race footage celebrating his TT victories ever gathered together, featuring a staggering 24 of his record-breaking 26 wins.
The footage was compiled following an exhaustive search of Duke’s own archives and the archives of many other producers. Duke also launched a worldwide appeal for surviving footage.
Duke has been unable to trace any race film from his first win – the 1977 Jubilee TT – and the 1984 Formula One, but the incredible footage tracked down charts a TT record which is unlikely ever to be bettered.
It shows Joey as a young charger, challenging and beating stars like Mick Grant and Roger Marshall. We also relive the ‘big bike’ glory years, when Joey scored six F1 wins in a row, and his domination of the 125cc and 250cc classes in the 1990s.
The exceptional footage, with original commentary, reminds us of how “Yer Maun” overcame injury, horrendous weather, a missing exhaust and even a sunken boat to claim victory after victory, and stunned the racing world in 1995 when, as a 43-year-old, he won the Senior TT on the Honda RC45 – his first big bike win for almost a decade.
