The Stinger was to a certain extent
an exercise in styling over practicality, fusing elements
of the popular street scrambler design school with
lightweight racing motorcycle styling ques. The high
level exhaust system and abbreviated front mudguard
were influenced by the growing interest in off road
machinery whilst the upswept seat back and slender
fuel tank emulated contemporary racing machine styling.
The twin cylinder two stroke engine with near horizontal
cylinders was apparently suspended from the tubular
spine frame further emphasising the machines slender
build.
