Carole Nash Gives Away £30k
Custom Bike at the 2009 International Motorcycle and
Scooter Show
21st September 2009
Carole
Nash, the UK motorcycle insurance giant, has announced
a host of crowd pleasing initiatives at the 2009 Carole
Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, including
the give-away of a £30,000 custom bike built
from scratch during last year’s event. The awesome
bike-giveaway spearheads various initiatives Carole
Nash will bring to the Show which they title sponsor.
Built against the clock by a four strong team at
last year’s Carole Nash International Motorcycle
and Scooter Show, the Hawg Haven Old Skool Bobber
will be given away to one lucky Carole Nash customer.
The bike’s specification features a rigid frame
with a 38 degree rake, housing an impressive Revtech
88ci, 1450cc polished motor and Mikuni five-speed
Revtech gearbox. Anticipation will reach fever pitch
on the Carole Nash stand with every biker securing
a quote from the company before 31st October 2009
pooled into the free draw to win a chance to own this
truly unique bike.
The 2009 Show is also set to stage for the third
successive year, the ever-popular Britain’s
Got Biking Talent with Carole Nash, the biggest competition
in which biker’s themselves vote for the nation’s
finest bikes. Adjudicated with the help of some 20,000
votes cast via the special Britain’s Got Biking
Talent website , the shortlist of 60 bikes will be
scrutinised by a celebrity-filled expert panel including
comic Ross Noble, Hairy Biker Si King, motorbiking
adventurer Nick Sanders and MCN editor Marc Potter.
Competition is expected to be fierce, demonstrated
by a 15% hike in entries this year coupled with a
prize offering including an all-expenses-paid VIP
trip to a European MotoGP, a trip to the French Battlefields
with MCI Tours and inclusion in the Carole Nash 2010
Calendar.
Rebecca Donohue, Head of Marketing at Carole Nash,
commented: “The 2009 Carole Nash International
Motorcycle and Scooter Show is a fitting platform
to give away this customised bike, having been constructed
in 2008 at the NEC in front of 134,000 bikers. If
the level of interest shown last year about the mechanics
of the bike and the art of bike building is anything
to go by, we are sure this prize draw, combined with
the finale of the Britain’s Got Biking Talent
competition will make the Carole Nash stand a cornerstone
of the 2009 Show”.
Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions,
said, “The Carole Nash stand is always a focal
point of the Show and this year promises to be no
different. Carole Nash’s vision complements
our own which is to engage with every visitor be it
via the range of interactive features such as Off
Road Experience area and A Question of Bikes or by
their own initiatives such as the spectacular Old
Skool Bobber prize competition and Britain’s
Got Biking Talent.”
The 2009 Carole Nash International Motorcycle and
Scooter Show is the ultimate shop window for an incredible
selection of bikes, accessories and components, as
well as offering a range of truly interactive features,
all of which will demonstrate to visitors of all ages
what the industry has to offer. Those looking forward
to Preview Day can take advantage of the £28
entry fee, which includes all the interactive features
free of charge. For the remainder of the Show adults
