1989 Kawasaki
ZXR-400 Streetfighter

One –off Kawasaki ZXR-400 that has received
a major overhaul both in looks and performance.
I have spent over 900 hours of work (I kept
track of it!!!) on it and has been a vision
of mine since I first got it. It is styled in
a mean looking biomechanical style and I think
its radical curves and sound make it stand out
from the crowd. In my eyes the bike is complete
but as is always the case one can carry on customising
it endlessly; it’s just how far you want
to take it!!!
History of the bike
I bought this bike in red from a police officer
on the 08/09/2006. I am guessing he bought it
in black and gold from someone in the UK on
the 03/01/1996. It was working well when I got
it but it runs and sounds much better now. I
completely stripped it and started rebuilding
its new and better design, wiring, bodywork
and paint job. I had some trouble with the rear
mudguard as the paint chipped off a bit, I repainted
it and it happened again but it’s hardly
noticeable.
