2011 collection of performance wear and casual clothing
Triumph Motorcycle’s latest range
of performance rider wear and casual clothing focuses
on technology and innovation while also featuring
key new styles that are inspired by the motorcycle
manufacturer’s heritage. Available exclusively
from Triumph’s authorised dealer network, the
new collection features performance garments designed
to tackle to winter as well as casual lines for wearing
Sports Performance and Technology
Headlining the AW11 range is the first
motorcycle performance garment to incorporate specially
designed LED light technology for increased rider
visibility. The Sympatex Light Jacket is a top of
the range all weather jacket that has wearable LED
technology built in. Powered by a lightweight battery,
the LEDs can be switched on and off as required to
give the rider additional daytime and night-time visibility.
The jacket is also
a fully capable, top of the range waterproof riding
jacket. Using Sympatex membrane technologies, the
Light Jacket is 100% waterproof, windproof and breathable.
Constructed from DuPont Cordura and
Airtex fabric, it also includes a removable storm
collar, internal storm guard, removable thermal lining
and CE Knox protectors to the elbow and shoulders.
For riders not wanting to change their
jackets, the Light Vest uses the same wearable LED
technology built in to a high visibility vest.
Adding to the adventure inspired range
is the Kalahari Jacket and Jeans. Designed to perform
whatever the weather, the Kalahari can switch from
a waterproof thermal jacket to a fully perforated
summer jacket, thanks to the large hidden mesh vents
to the chest, forearm and back. Constructed from 600
denier polycordura and 500 denier Cordura, Superfabric
ceramic shoulder and elbow panels are added for increased
abrasion and tear resistance.
Focused on the urban street sports
rider are the Harrier Jacket and Spitfire Jacket that
combine sports styling with functionality. The Harrier
Jacket is constructed from 1.2-1.4mm Brazilian cowhide
and includes CE shoulder, elbow and back protectors
while the inner lining includes multiple pockets for
storage of phone, MP3 and other essentials.
The Spitfire Jacket is constructed
from water repellent polycordura and Texland abrasion
resistant fabric with a Tri-Tex waterproof membrane,
removable thermal lining, hidden ventilation panels
and CE protectors to the elbows, shoulders and back.
The new Acton 2 Jacket and Jeans join
Triumph’s Rider Essential range that offers
an entry level price point without compromising on
quality. The Acton 2 Jacket is waterproof, windproof
and breathable and includes a removable thermal lining,
CE protectors and hidden ventilation panels.
The AW11 range sees a new range of
heated technology with the introduction of the Thermotex
Heated Jacket and Gloves. The jacket is a soft shell
fabric construction that includes EXO2 heat technology.
EXO2 is a heating source that includes no wires and
gives a consistent and comfortable heat through to
the lower back, kidney area and front abdomen. The
jacket can be plugged in to a rechargeable battery
or can be connected direct to the motorcycle’s
auxiliary power socket.
Triumph’s strength of heritage
is further demonstrated within the clothing range
this Autumn/Winter. New for the season is a collection
of products that are influenced by Triumph’s
link to the Ton-Up-Boys and Rockers of the 1950’s
and 60’s with an official range with the Ace
Café London. The Ace Café Jacket uses
a classic black leather jacket styling with modern
riding technologies. Subtle outer branding includes
an Ace Café/Triumph pin badge to the collar
with a bold black and white print to the inner removable
lining. The Ace Café range also includes a
t-shirt, mug, baseball cap and sew- on fabric patch.
The next edition to the officially
licensed Steve McQueen collection sees a new jacket
that is heavily influenced by the movie stars passion
for motorsport and motorcycle racing. The McQueen
2 Special Edition Jacket once again pays homage to
the motorcycle jackets that McQueen wore. The garment
is constructed from a washed Bristex nylon outershell
with a waterproof TriTex membrane, removable thermal
and CE protectors. The Steve McQueen signature is
added to the sleeve with a printed lining featuring
the famous Triumph rider.
In addition to the McQueen 2 Special
Edition Jacket are casualwear items that are inspired
by two motorcycles races that he took part in. The
ISDT T-Shirt and Hoodie are based on his participation
in the 1964 International Six Day Trials in East Germany
while the 955 Race T-Shirt and Zip Thru are based
on his entry to the 1962 cross country event called
the Four Aces Moose Run, Adelanto, California. This
was his second ever motorcycle race where he achieved
third place in the novice division.
A collection of new heritage inspired
t-shirts tell the story of Triumph’s past and
this season the stories branch out to Japan, France,
Italy and of course the USA. All t-shirts are 100%
cotton with detailed pigment and discharge prints
that tell the stories.
Included is the Japanese Auto-Racer
T-Shirt that is influenced by a converted Triumph
powered auto-racer that raced at speedway flat track
events in the 1970s. The French inspired Montlhery
tells the story of the original Thunderbird and the
Parisian racetrack that was the destination for three
Triumph test riders in 1949 and the Italian Importer
recalls Bepi Koelliker, who was the original Triumph
importer for Italy, who
raced customised Triumph’s in the late 1960’s
that were most noticeable by their white exhaust downpipes.
As well as the official Triumph/Ace
Café range of clothing and merchandise, the
winter season sees the release of the 59 Club T-Shirt.
The 59 Club was originally a Youth Club at the Eton
Mission, Hackney Wick, London. In 1962, Father William
Shergold held a service for motorcyclists. The reaction
was huge and saw the addition of a bike section to
the youth club and so the birth of the 59 Club. Today
the 59 Club is still an active charity.
Casualwear inspired by the Union Flag
is also added to the collection including the Racing
T-Shirt and Hoodie, Maximum Torque T-Shirt and Grey
Union T-Shirt, all of which are 100% cotton with a
variety of cracked paint, pigment and discharge prints.
Triumph’s range of dedicated
ladies riding wear sees a new jacket added to the
collection as well as a selection of new casualwear.
The Chancery Leather Jacket is constructed from soft
1mm cowhide with subtle styling cues. A removable
thermal lining a CE protectors are added as standard.
The ladies casual range includes simple
and stylish designs such as the Navy Union Flag T-Shirt,
Script Logo T-Shirt, Script Zip Thru and the Motorcycle
A range of seasonal gift items are
added to the range including new Junior t-shirts and
a Racer Sleep-suit as well as new merchandise items
such as baseball caps, an umbrella, mugs, belt buckles
and key rings.
