2010 Triumph Speedmaster

With its bad boy good looks the Speedmaster
is a tough-looking, no-nonsense sports cruiser that’s
dripping with attitude.
Powered by a fuel injected, 270º
crankshaft version of Triumph’s distinctive
865cc parallel twin engine, this stripped down factory
custom delivers peak power of 61PS at 6,800rpm, with
maximum torque of 72Nm available at just 3,300rpm.
Minimalism is key to the bike’s
harder edge, with slash cut silencers, black engine
covers, black cast wheels, 18 inch at the front and
15 inch at the rear, add to the hot rod look, although
the minimalist approach stops when it comes to the
braking. Twin 310mm front discs – gripped by
twin-piston calipers – bring the
Speedmaster to a halt with power and assurance, while
the twin shocks and widestyle telescopic forks make
for a planted and supple ride.
Completing the sleek look is a restyled-for-2010
style speedometer, which is perched neatly on the
top yolk and in the rider’s sightline, and a
small revcounter mounted discretely on the fuel tank
nacelle for added functionality.
The Speedmaster comes in two moody
black colour options for 2010: single-tone Phantom
Black or the same colour with a New England White
infill.
