2010 Triumph Scrambler

Taking its design cues from the 1960s
off-road Triumphs made famous by Steve McQueen in
The Great Escape, the Scrambler represents a fresh
take on the iconic bikes from the company’s
rich tradition.
Very few motorcycles can claim to be
unique but Triumph’s Scrambler, thanks to its
authentic styling, is most certainly one of them.
A modern interpretation of a timeless classic, the
Scrambler demands attention wherever it goes.
Triumph’s legendary air cooled
865cc parallel twin features modern fuel injected
and with a 270 degree firing order for a distinctive
exhaust note through the stylish high swept chromed
side pipes you can’t fail to notice. Utilitarian
Matt Khaki or Jet Black paintwork highlight the bike’s
rugged, no-nonsense nature. For
2010, the Scrambler also benefits from a redesigned
speedometer with digital odometer.
The spoked wheels with lightly-knobbled
tyres acknowledge the Scrambler’s offroad heritage,
as do stylish the high-level twin exhausts, fork gaiters
and purposeful single headlamp. High, wide handlebars
and high-set footpegs add to the look and aid low-speed
manoeuvrability. Powering the Scrambler is a 60PS,
270 degree crankshaft version of Triumph’s 865cc
parallel twin engine which delivers torquey performance
accompanied by an addictive off-beat twin exhaust
note.
A range of official accessories are
available for riders who wish to personalise this
already very individual motorcycle. These range from
a practical accessories like fly screens and optional
tachometer to the exquisitely crafted two-into-one
Arrow exhaust system and a variety of styling options.
