2010 Triumph Rocket III Touring

Combining classic touring cruiser style
with awesome performance the Rocket III Touring is
designed for those who demand serious long-haul abilities.
Although built around the same incredible
engine platform as the original Rocket III, the Rocket
III Touring has been designed specifically for the
job of effortlessly covering long distances - the
only cycle parts shared by the Rocket III and the
Rocket III Touring are the rear light and mirrors!
The turbine-like fuel injected,
12-valve, in-line, three-cylinder, 2294cc engine is
tuned for ultimate cruising capability and with a
mighty 150lb-ft of torque at just 2,000rpm accelerates
effortlessly whatever the circumstances. A low-maintenance
shaft drive transmits the power to the rear wheel.
The Rocket III Touring is surprisingly
nimble for such a big machine thanks to a low centre
of gravity, 16 inch wheels and a 180 section rear
tyre, while finely tuned suspension makes for a plush
and compliant ride. Comfort for the rider and passenger
is of course fundamental for a touring bike, so the
Rocket III Touring
seat is designed to give luxurious accommodation to
both. The seat is constructed with two separate layers
of cushioning of different densities, with the passenger
getting the extra benefit of a gel pad to make sure
the bike is as comfortable 500 miles later as it was
when you set off. A quick-release “look-over”
screen comes
as standard, as do quick-release 36 litre (10 US gallons)
colour-matched panniers.
Shrouded front forks with polished
lower casings, footboards front and rear and tank
mounted instruments add an additional dash of style,
while a range of almost 70 accessories ensure that
the scope for individualising the Rocket III Touring
is almost endless.
The Rocket III Touring comes in three
colour options for 2010: Jet Black, Eclipse
Blue with Azure Blue infill or Jet Black with New
England White infill.
