2010 Aprilia RS125

Aprilia RS 125 owes much more than its
graphics to the race world - it is a genuine race
replica for budding young riders, encapsulating all
the technical expertise of the Noale based marque
in the one-eighth litre class.
Aprilia RS 125 over the years has become a true milestone
amongst the 2 stroke sports motorbikes that the public
and critics alike continue to reward in the most important
European markets, and is always the motorbike most
coveted by riders who compete in the Sport Production
races. As confirmation of this success, in 2009 the
Aprilia RS 125 was named Motorcycle of the Year in
its category by the monthly magazine “Motociclismo”
and Best 125 for 2009 by the specialised magazine
“In Moto” following a survey among the
readers of 12 specialised magazines of the same number
of European countries.
Aprilia RS 125 boasts class beating
componentry and mechanicals, such as the powerful
and reliable single cylinder two stroke engine which,
over the years, has earned a reputation of being unbeatable
in terms of both performance in the race track and
reliability on the road.
The compact, ultralight RS 125 is a
concentrated package of sophisticated technology:
the frame and swingarm are both derived from Moto
GP experience and made from ultra-stiff aluminium.
An upside down front fork, the front brake with radial
calliper with four, horizontally opposed pistons and
the wheels with split spokes are testimony to the
bike's overtly racing character. The unique equipment
of the RS 125 is also completed with the analogue-digital
instrument panel complete with multifunction computer,
with a forged steering yoke and with an oval-section
racing silencer with riveted back plates.
The Aprilia RS 125 offer young consumers
the best components and technical equipment, a real
concentrate of technological refinements:
- 2 stroke engine tested in all use conditions
and highly sophisticated;
- aluminium frame and swingarm with extremely high
rigidity taken from GP experience;
- fork with reversed stanchions;
- front brake with radial calliper with four opposing
pistons;
- fairing, top fairing and tail fairing with the
same design as Aprilia superbikes;
- crossed spoke wheel rims, the same design as
RSV Factory;
- analogue-digital instrument panel with multifunction
computer;
- forged steering yoke: design taken from the RSV
Factory;
- oval-section racing silencer with riveted back
plates;
