Tue Mantoni
Tue Mantoni is Triumph Motorcycles’ Chief
Executive Officer. He was born in 1975 in Copenhagen,
Denmark and now permanently resides in the UK, working
out of Triumph’s HQ and manufacturing base,
situated in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
Tue’s career as a marketer began at the Copenhagen
Business School, after which he won a coveted place
to further his education at the prestigious Stern
Business School in New York. In 1998 Tue started work
at Goldman Sachs in London, before moving to McKinsey
& Co. Management Consultants in 1999.
In 2002 an accidental fire ravaged the Triumph factory
and completely halted production. Triumph’s
owner, John Bloor, saw this as an opportunity to review
the whole motorcycle marque’s operations from
engineering and production through to marketing. McKinsey
& Co. were brought on board with the allotted
team being led by Tue. Following the conclusion of
the project Tue joined Triumph as a permanent member
of staff, taking on the role of Commercial Director
and the responsibility of overseeing Triumph’s
global sales and marketing performance, including
Triumph’s global network of subsidiaries and
distributors.
Under Tue’s management, Triumph has accrued
a number of distinctions including the British Brand
of the Year award in 2005, an accolade made possible
by the brand’s turnaround following the factory
fire, impressive sales performances and sustained
growth, but most importantly a strong and dedicated
company work force. In July 2008 he was appointed
as the company’s first CEO, with overall responsibility
for all the company’s activities.
Tue lives in Oxfordshire with his wife and two young
daughters. His interests and hobbies include long
distance running, adventure skiing and riding his
Triumph Bonneville. Tue Mantoni
