2009 Triumph News
Triumph
is introducing a special edition of its award-winning
Daytona 675 Supersport model
Although the Triumph range is divided into three
distinct segments – Urban Sports, Modern Classics
and Cruisers – all Triumph motorcycles share
several fundamental characteristics:
- Powered by either parallel twin or in-line triple
cylinder engines, which have a charismatic sound
and distinctive feel and deliver a broad spread
of truly usable power.
- Stylish and unique looks with great attention
to detail. Design is always purposeful, blending
form with function, to deliver a beautifully crafted
machine where the looks are backed by genuine, well-engineered
substance.
- A well-balanced chassis with class-leading handling;
Triumphs are intuitive and incredibly easy to ride.
Modern Classics
Bonneville – Bonneville SE –
Bonneville T100 – Thruxton – Scrambler
The retro-styled Modern Classic range reflects the
iconic Triumph designs of the 1960s but while the
looks draw their design cues from motor cycling’s
most glamorous era, the engineering and performance
is thoroughly modern.
With the characteristic note of their 865cc air-cooled
British parallel twin cylinder engines and with plenty
of power right where you need it, the Modern Classics
sound and feel unique. These bikes are also agile,
with a low seat height and a relaxed, comfortable
riding position that makes them easy and fun to ride.
Appealing to riders seeking a great looking, cool
design the Modern Classics have found resonance with
a broad audience, from those who remember the originals
to a much younger customer looking for a simple, stylish
bike that can be enjoyed to the full.
Urban Sports
Street Triple - Street Triple R - Daytona
675 - Speed Triple - Tiger - Sprint ST
Triumph’s Urban Sports range appeals to customers
who appreciate the market-leading high performance
bikes but consider them too predictable and mass-market.
Instead this customer looks to Triumph for a distinctive
and unique machine that delivers the requisite high
performance but with an original twist.
Triumph’s Urban Sports models are powered
by 675cc and 1050cc triple cylinder engines, which
give incredible levels of flexibility and performance,
and a unique sound and feel. A great deal of attention
has also been paid to finding the perfect balance
between agility and stability resulting in a range
of six of the sweetest handling machines.
Cruisers
America - Speedmaster – Rocket III
– Rocket III Classic – Rocket III Touring
Triumph’s cruisers are a unique offering in
a sea of V-twin clones. From the 2300cc Rocket III,
the largest capacity production bike, to the 865cc
parallel twin powered America and Speedmaster, the
Cruisers offer originality in both looks and performance.
These bikes live up to the Triumph ethos of great
handling and carve corners or swallow up long straights
with equal aplomb.
The Rocket III Classic, Rocket III Touring and America
offer traditional cruiser ergonomics, with understated
American styling, while the Rocket III and Speedmaster
have a bolder, more aggressive performance edge.
Aftermarket
In addition to building motorcycles Triumph has
a healthy aftersales business with a comprehensive
range of Triumph Genuine Parts, Accessories and Clothing.
