Moto Morini Scrambler - New For 2009

Styled by Marabese to evoke the glory days of the
big capacity dirt bikes of the 1960’s, the Moto
Morini Scrambler is designed to capture the spirit
of freedom of that decade, giving riders the sense
of independence to explore the widest variety of roads,
from multi-lane motorways to single track country
lanes.
With its high mount twin tapered silencer, large
round headlight crowned by a mini fairing, classic
colour scheme and 19” front wheel, this Italian
motorcycle has many of the features of a Sixties dirt
bike.
However, powered by Morini’s acclaimed 117bhp
V-twin CorsaCorta motor, equipped with a 21-litre
fuel tank (4.5 gallons) and shod with Michelin Anakee2
hybrid tyres, the Scrambler has the capacity to thrill
and is capable of tackling serious distances over
a wide variety of roads. At 198 KG is lighter than
many multi-cylinder naked bikes and its upright riding
position offers a combination of control and comfort
for hours in the saddle.
Its looks may be inspired by the 1960’s but
the specification is contemporary – trellis
frame by Verlicchi with hydro-formed swing arm, stainless
steel Excel wheel rims, 50mm Marzocchi front forks,
Paioli rear shock and twin Brembo 4-piston 298mm front
disc brakes. The Moto Morini Scrambler will be available
in UK showrooms in black and white colour scheme from
March 2009 priced at £9199.
