New black/orange colours for Moto
Morini 1200 Sport

29th January 2009
Moto Morini has introduced a new black and orange
colour scheme for its 1200 Sport, which creates a
more aggressive appearance to match the machine’s
potent V-twin engine.
Designed by Marabese to create the classic style
of 1970’s mechanics with the benefit of advanced
technological solutions, the 1200 Sport is powered
by the Bialbero CorsaCorta 1187cc twin cylinder engine,
which is tuned to develop 117 hp at 8500 rpm. There
is plenty of torque too (102 Nm 6700 rpm) that is
well-distributed over the entire rev range.
Spoked wheels with stainless steel rims, large round
headlight with fairing, high bars and double tapered
exhaust pipe contribute to the classic appearance
of the 1200 Sport. However it has many advanced features
to enhance handling and stopping power, such as 50mm
Marzocchi front forks, a hydro formed swing arm with
Paioli rear shock and twin 320mm Brembo front brakes.
The Moto Morini 1200 Sport in black and orange will
be in UK showrooms this March, retailing for £8,999,
backed by an impressive 3-year manufacturer’s
warranty.
