Moto Guzzi Launches Exciting New
Griso 8V Special Edition
11th June 2009
Moto
Guzzi’s new Griso SE really stands out with
its magnificent “Tenni” colour scheme
taken from Italian Moto Guzzi racing legend Omobono
Tenni, the first Italian ever to win at the Isle of
Man TT. This stylish colour combination of satinised
green and premium tan leather dual seat, complete
with hand crafted stitching, contrasts beautifully
with the lower section of the bike, which is dominated
by the matt black of the engine, frame and front forks.
The Griso SE is the latest version of this charismatic
Moto Guzzi model, with unrivalled build quality and
character to match. Other points of difference on
the SE version of the Griso, are the classy black
spoked wheels with anodised alloy rims, fitted with
Pirelli Scorpion tubeless tyres for high performance
riding.
The Griso is an instinctive creation, as solid as
a rock with a distinct personality of its own. Features,
details and its unique lines blend the chrome and
satin finishes to create a work of art. The fuel tank,
for example, forms an aerodynamic teardrop, unique
to this bike and guaranteed to get you noticed. Stylish
in its own way, the tail houses three high intensity
LED light units – adding to safety as well as
style.
But the Griso SE doesn’t just look good –
it goes great too. The wide handlebar and low seat
height (at only 800mm) mean the streetbike riding
position is both aggressive and comfortable, allowing
the rider to make full use of the bike’s massive
1151cc 90° V-twin engine. Maximum power of 110
bhp and huge amounts of torque from the new 8-valve
engine, mated to a rigid laterally reinforced, high
tensile steel chassis, means that the Griso SE will
handle anything the rider throws at it. Silky smooth
power delivery ensures that riding fast on the open
road or battling through heavy traffic, this bike
does it all, perfectly.
Confidence inspiring handling is assured, thanks
to adjustable 43mm diameter super sports style, upside
down front forks, mated with Boge rising rate, rear
suspension. The geometry of the bike has been designed
for maximum stability and it shows in the refined
ride. Moto Guzzi has also managed to keep this bike
nimble, with fast changes of direction causing no
drama for the rider, who is able to carve perfect
lines in the asphalt.
Stopping the Griso SE is no problem either, with
massive 320mm wavy front discs being squeezed by the
latest 4-piston Brembo radial caliper brakes –
good looking as well as very effective.
Accessories include semi-rigid panniers, large and
small tank bags, tail bag, luggage rack improving
the touring and practical capabilities of this bike.
Fly screen and touring windscreen are available for
added protection.
Moto Guzzi bike cover in black non-scratch material
with the Griso logo in silver on both sides is also
available for riders wishing to cosset this special
machine.
Electronic anti-theft system and carbon fibre front
mudguard, heat shield, starter motor cover and instrument
housing are also available as optional extras.
Dedicated Moto Guzzi Griso clothing includes a stylish
Griso leather jacket made of vintage cowhide with
Moto Guzzi logos, removable elbow and shoulder armour
and adjustable neck and waist. A Griso Momo helmet,
with technopolymer shell, quick release mechanism,
steel visor mounting and anti-scratch visor, combines
comfort and style and looks great!
