Ducati Monster 696 hits UK showrooms
The new Monster 696 reaches UK dealers ahead of schedule
as the Italian manufacturer gears up for unprecedented
demand.
The first Monster appeared at the International
Motorcycle Show in 1992 and was the first naked Ducati
that went on to spawn a whole new niche. The bike
has since enjoyed unrivalled success and has become
a true icon in the world of motorcycling.
Now the all new 696 recently launched in Barcelona
has inherited all the design and build principles
of its predecessor allowing true Monster character
to shine through from every component. Providing pure,
undiluted excitement, the Monster is the definition
of a bike that strikes a carefully designed balance
between performance and everyday usability, appealing
to a wide range of riders as a result.
With MotoGP Chassis technology, the proven power
and flexibility of the Ducati L-twin engine and a
riding position that puts the rider firmly in control,
the Monster 696 is equally comfortable in city traffic
or on the open road.
The new Monster comes in a choice of three colour
schemes: traditional Ducati red, matte black, and
a striking pearl white and is available in two versions
- standard and 696+. The ‘+’ version comes
with a colour-matched rear seat cover which gives
the bike an even cleaner, sportier look and is quickly
removable for your passenger and a unique head-turning
micro-bikini fairing that embraces the digital instruments
and rounds off the sporting appeal of the new Monster
696.
The Monster 696 + has now arrived at dealers in
the UK and Ireland and demonstrators are available
for test rides. To locate your nearest dealer visit
www.ducatiuk.com or call 0845 1222 996 for further
details.
Both versions are on sale now. The standard 696 is
priced at £5,500 and the 696+ at £5,750.
