Super Sport – The DB5
Powered by the Ducati 1100 engine, often cited by
journalists as one of the best street engines ever,
the DB5 tackles every corner with renowned Bimota
poise and confidence that only comes from race quality
components and sound engineering. In a simplified
line-up, the DB5 is now available in two versions,
the twin seat DB5S and the ultra performance single
seat DB5R.
The ultimate performance DB5R returns in a classic
Tri Colore paint scheme. Long a favorite of the most
seasoned sport riders, the DB5R adds a long list of
exotic materials and components to deliver performance
worthy of its ‘R’ designation. Red, white
and green, the classic Italian livery colors, have
been applied to ‘coarse weave’ all carbon
fiber body, certainly the most beautifully executed
use of this exotic material. Ohlins suspension front
and rear, ultra light wheels, Brembo radial controls
and a racing ‘slipper’ clutch complete
this master piece that has been called one of the
best ‘real’ world sport bikes.
