Access to the great Scarabeo family is provided by three different models:

• Scarabeo Street, with its clean, minimal lines and two-stroke engine. Scarabeo Street is the most economical of all Scarabeos. This easy to ride but sporty scooter is a great way to enter the world of Scarabeo;

• Scarabeo 50 4T is the scooter for all the family. It is ideal for getting around town in safety and comfort. Its super-economical 50 cc four stroke engine combines extremely low fuel consumption with good performance for nippy and elegant mobility in city traffic;

• Scarabeo 100 4T is the ideal choice for commuters seeking something extra in terms of performance. As compact as a 50 but with performance almost like that of a 125, the 100 4T gives you extra power to accelerate away from traffic lights and even to take the occasional trip out of town. Scarabeo 100 4T stands out for a number of special design features. Its matching top box, refined finish and chrome trim make it a genuine style icon.

Both 50 cc versions are, of course, also homologated to carry a passenger as and when permitted by national legislation.

Chassis

A robust frame in high strength steel tube gives Scarabeo pace-setting agility and unrivalled stability.
Thanks to a wheel travel of 80 mm, the hydraulic fork makes light work of the worst cobblestones. Comfort and precision always go hand in hand on Scarabeo. The rear suspension plays its part too, thanks to a robust, adjustable shock absorber offering a generous wheel travel of 82 mm.

Open spoked wheels mean a more attractive appearance and improved handling too, thanks to lighter weight and reduced steering inertia. The braking system ensures total safety in all situations. A 220 mm front disc and a caliper with two 30 mm opposed pistons combine with a generous 140 mm rear drum to deliver powerful but controllable braking action. The low seat ensures greater rider comfort and also helps with control. The advanced design solutions applied to the Scarabeo 50/100 combine to guarantee lightness and easy control.

Engines

Scarabeo Street is powered by a latest generation two stroke engine based on a superbly simply design and the very latest technology. Brilliant performance, low fuel consumption and extremely low emissions make Scarabeo 50 Street the perfect solution to city traffic.

The engine on Scarabeo 50 4T is an advanced horizontal single cylinder 50 cc four stroke with forced air cooling. While equalling the performance of its two-stroke competitors in terms of top speed, the 50 4T engine offers even more miserly consumption. As well as saving on fuel, Scarabeo 50 4T also saves on two-stroke oil for extra economy. The strong points of this four stroke engine include practicality, pleasant riding, smooth response and silent running. The Scarabeo 100 engine is an advanced horizontal single cylinder four stroke with forced air cooling and a two valve cylinder head. Thanks to a power output of 6,3 bhp, it offers fuel consumption comparable to that of a 50 with similar performance to a 125. The 100 4T is therefore the ideal engine option for riders seeking “that something extra” from their scooter but who do not want big engines, heavy weights and high running costs.

Equipment

Scarabeo is equipped with everything you need for an easy life in the city, like an automatic choke, and an 8,5 litre fuel tank for excellent autonomy and less frequent refuelling. Handles incorporated in the luggage rack give your passengers a comfortable and safe grip and make lifting your Scarabeo on to its centre stand a piece of cake.

A compartment in the back of the leg shield provides convenient and safe storage for those little items you need frequent access to. The motorcycle style, clear glass polyfocal headlight delivers a powerful light with switchable dipped and main beams. The instrument panel features new graphics and provides a complete and intuitive readout. The instruments themselves are instantly visible under all conditions. At night the backlighting clearly illuminates all the facts and figures. The instruments are complemented by a number of function indicators to keep everything constantly under control.

Accessories

A vast range of accessories allows you to personalise your Scarabeo to suit your needs, wishes and riding style. Scarabeo’s appeal is so much greater with a top box. The top box is complete with passenger backrest and paint finished to match your scooter, and uses a single key locking system that lets you open it with your scooter’s own ignition key.
