The 2006 Piaggio X9 Evolution 125, 250 and 500
The new Evolution is one of the most manoeuvrable of the medium and large displacement scooters and also one of the easiest to handle.The Evolution boasts new and improved design and technical functions from a new front shield and rear view mirrors with built-in indicators improving the streamlined appearance of the bike to new chrome headlamps and a reinforced windscreen, which is adjustable to three positions.
The X9 Evolution engines combine state-of-the-art performance with low emissions, all engine versions (MASTER, QUASAR and LEADER) are fitted with a two-stage catalytic converter enabling them to easily meet Euro 2 emissions standards.
X9 Evolution 125;
The X9 125 Evolution is equipped with a Piaggio LEADER 4 stroke 4 valve 125ccengine allowing top performances in its category in any driving condition. The X9 125 is easy to handle for nipping through the traffic but retains maxi scooter confort and protection at the same time.
Integral braking system with triple disc Ø 240 mm, double rear shock absorber adjustable on 4 positions, exclusive trip computer and advanced digital and analogue instrument panel, new seat unlocking system (as well as the usual lever), electrically operated by a button on the inside front shield coupled with an extensive accessories range make the X9 Evolution 125 a must have.
X9 Evolution 250;
X9 Evolution 250 is equipped with the latest Piaggio engine: QUASAR - QUArter liter Smooth-Augmented Range - 250, 4 valve, liquid cooled ,lightweight and compact.
Powered by its 22 CV at 8,250 rpm the X9 250 ensures top performances in term of speed and acceleration, but minimizing costs and fuel consumptions, always allowing the pleasure of driving with the maximum comfort.
X9 Evolution 500;
The X9 500 Evolution has new CVT pulleys, new MASTER 500 engine injection mapping and new wider rear wheel that ensure a safer and smoother ride. A new stronger, bigger-diameter (Ø 41mm) fork increases the precision and high speed handling. The new Brembo "Serie Oro" floating callipers improve 3 discs integral braking performance. The X9 500 Evolution is equipped as well with a new rear larger wheel, section 150/70, a new transmission cover and muffler.
The X9 500 Evolution comes with the electrohydraulic stand, a new seat unlocking system (as well as the usual lever), electrically operated by a button on the inside front shield and an exclusive remote controlled electronic seat opener. It also switches off the engine automatically if the position sensor detects a fall.
