2006 KTM 640 Adventure
The 640 Adventure, a direct descendant of successful rally bikes, has riding pleasure and thrills written all over it. This model is the ultimate single-cylinder travel motorcycle and your best companion when you want to tackle strange continents, track through desert sands or weave your way along jungle trails. This low weight ma-chine with an agile chassis and long suspension travel values is equipped with a robust LC4 engine.
Clutch;
Smooth, maintenance-free hydraulic clutch.
Starter;
Electric starter with additional backup kick-starter.
Carburettor;
40 mm Mikuni constant pressure carburettor with a Throttle Posi-tion Sensor that delivers throttle information to the CDI.
Secondary Air System (SAS);
The compact SAS causes a post-oxidation of the exhaust gases to fulfil strict "EURO II"emissions standards without any reduction in performance.
Frame;
Chromoly central tubular frame the same as those in rally motorcycles.
Handlebars;
Magura tapered aluminium handlebars.
Speedometer;
The speedometer offers numerous added functions (rally functions, lap timing, multiple trip functions) and is available with an optional remote control on the handlebar.
Suspension;
The 48 WP USD fork and the WP monoshock with Pro Lever link-age guarantee maximum stability and performance on- and offroad. Adjustable rebound and compression damping make the suspension easy to set for each terrain.
Brakes;
KTM and Brembo define the benchmark when it comes to braking performance. 300mm double disc with two floating, two-piston cal-lipers in the front, a 220mm single disc with a floating two-piston calliper in the rear.
