2004 Yamaha XJR1300
 |
Combining timeless retro-looks with advanced
technology, the XJR1300 delivers strong engine
and chassis performance to match its hardcore
image. The 2004 model gets a range of modifications
and upgrades that are designed to keep this
handsome muscle-bike at the forefront of this
important category. FZS1000-type three-spoke
wheels are fitted, and new dual front discs
are featured, resulting in lower unsprung weight.
Front and rear suspension settings are stiffened
for sportier handling qualities, and the revised
design of the front and rear brake master cylinders
gives improved feel. Emissions are reduced to
well below the levels set by EU2 regulations,
and this has been achieved by altering carburettor
settings and equipping the 4-into-1-into-2 exhaust
system with a catalytic converter. Other detail
changes for 2004 include multi-function instrumentation
featuring a new electronic speedometer, as well
as modified mufflers and a new immobiliserequipped
ignition switch.
