2004 Moto Guzzi V11SB
The Ballabio-Resinelli race has become part
of history. A challenge to the last bend which
puts the rider's skill and the mechanics of
the motorcycle to a hard test. Today it is one
of the tests for the Italian Uphill Speed Cup.
The V11 Sport Ballabio takes its name from this
classic race, because it has all the characteristics
it takes to dominate that type of itinerary.
Compact, with great handling, aggressive at
low revs and efficient in its mechanics, with
Marzocchi front suspension with 43 mm inners
and rear suspension with fully adjustable Sachs
shock absorber, coupled to a die-cast light
alloy cantilever swinging fork swingarm.
The powerful disc brakes, double at the front
and single on the rear wheel, allow extreme
braking. Available in the ultra-sporting and
traditional "Rosso Race, or the refined minimalist
"Grigio Resinelli", aggressive with its compact
cockpit fairing which deflects turbulence away
from the rider's torso, the V11 Sport Ballabio
has all it takes to stand out in chaotic city
traffic as well, helped by the natural erect
riding position, thanks to the raised biconical
handlebar. The heart is of course the latest
generation legendary 90° V-Twin, even more high
performance and silent. The compression ratio
(9.8:1) guarantees high performance at medium
revs. Modification of the exhaust manifolds
and a special crosspiece positioned between
the two manifolds benefits low revs. As with
all V11s, it is environmentally friendly and
is fitted with a highly advanced three-way catalytic
converter with Lambda sensor.
