Gresini Team Racing 2004

    Gresini Racing

When the experience made on the track and rider's determination combine with intuition and organisational skills, results are sure to follow.

Fausto Gresini was the protagonist of the 125cc scene in the years 1984-1994, he won two 125 world titles in 1985 and 1987 on Garelli and finished three times second in 1986 on Garelli, in 1991 and 1992 on a Honda.

In 1997 he decided to carry on his career as Team Manager and his team is proud of 22 victories in the GP, one world title in the 250cc class won by Daijiro Kato in 2001 and the vice-championship title achieved by Sete Gibernau in the MotoGP last year.

Today the team run by Gresini includes more than 30 people, divided among Faenza - headquarter of the administration, legal and marketing offices - and the Racing Department, in San Clemente (Rimini) near the Misano Circuit.

The Racing Department, run by Fabrizio Cecchini, is an impressive facility of 1100 square metres divided among a two-story warehouse, six offices and a workshop - this is the starting and returning point of the bikes before and after every GP or test session. Here the Team Telefonica MoviStar Honda MotoGP prepares the bikes for the tests and the races.

The atmosphere of the Racing Department is characterised by a great passion "the team has grown up quickly in the last years, we all share a common passion for racing and competition. We have created a nice group, a sort of family, an ideal atmosphere where the riders can work undisturbed" says Fausto Gresini, the Team Owner.

But the Team Telefonica MoviStar Honda MotoGP is not only characterised by technical preparation and a high quality of work, it also has a special flair for beautiful things. This year in fact, the Team Telefonica MoviStar Honda MotoGP will be present at the racetracks with a complete new Hospitality facility made of two trucks and one support vehicle. Equipped with air conditioning and heating, plasma TV monitors to follow the races and a superb buffet with typical Italian cuisine, the new Hospitality has a surface of 200 square metres divided among the bar area, the restaurant and the kitchen. Moreover, there are two meeting rooms and two office rooms to organise meetings in a more reserved atmosphere. A staff of five people will take care of the guests. The new Hospitality with the colours of Telefonica MoviStar will be a nice surprise in the paddock of the 2004 World Championship.
