Revolution Motorsport / Trucklinks and Moto Rapido will join forces for the first time at Brands Hatch this weekend to contest the 2007 Metzeler Racetec National Superstock championship with the new Ducati 1098S.

For the Hampshire based Ducati dealer this will be their first involvement with The British Superstock Championship, although they are no strangers to the racing scene having being involved over the last few years with UK club racing, running a 999R and 748RS as well as maintaining many customer race bikes.

Moto Rapido, under the guidance of Steve Hillary, will provide full workshop, technical and trackside support for Revolution Motorsport. The team will be based at the dealership's Winchester workshop and will fully prepare, maintain and help develop the bikes throughout the season with factory assistance from Ducati Corse.

Steve Moore the co-owner of Motor Rapido is delighted to be involved in the project; 'As soon as the new Ducati 1098 was launched we knew we had to go racing with it, so when Steve Iles from Revolution approached us, it was an easy decision to make. We are incredibly excited as are our customers who I am sure will be supporting us at most of the rounds. To be involved with such a professional team and with guys like Steve and Dean involved, is great news for Moto Rapido.'

Revolution Motorsport is run by Steve Iles and Dean Thomas, Steve will bring the business acumen to the team whilst Dean will bring his extensive experience in racing in British Superbikes whilst being a mentor to team rider Joe Dickinson, passing on his knowledge and coaching where necessary.

Team manager Steve Iles is excited by the challenge ahead, especially now that Moto Rapido are on board; 'I think we now have everything in place for a strong challenge this season, Moto Rapido were the final piece in the jigsaw, they have an excellent reputation and with a great rider in Joe Dickinson supported by Dean, we have a very strong package in place and we can't wait for the season to start.'

The Revolution Motorsport website will soon have all details of the other major sponsors, race results and events www.revolution-motorsport.co.uk.
